A note on moving — February 29, 2024

tl;dr:Remembering a brief move at the end of February 2024.
On February 28, 2024, I hurriedly completed my first move after returning to Suzhou. Once I had set up my desk, I took the customary photo to mark the occasion. Six years had passed since the last time I posted a photo of a desk I had carefully put together.
Over the past decade, I have moved six or seven times. This one felt different from all the others. Wherever I moved before, friends were always nearby. Thinking back on how excited I was about those earlier moves makes me smile: without noticing it, I had become another person working and getting by in the city crowd.
This move had its twists and turns too. Anyway, after a long stretch of arguments and compromises, I finally had somewhere to settle. At last, I could sit at my own desk and write the first post from my new home.
